The key to salvation is that we remember that salvation was accomplished for us on Calvary’s Cross by the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by His suffering and death, paid the penalty that we owe for the sins that we have committed. The devil wants mankind to want to reject that fact, and to take at least partial credit for our own salvation due to the good works that we have done.

God has ordained that a person’s primary relationship is supposed to be between themselves and their own spouse, not with a mother or with a child. A child is supposed to bond to their own spouse and create their own family, hopefully, without interference from their mother.

The purpose of Biblical love is to facilitate salvation, that men should not perish but have everlasting life. Since none of the attributes of Biblical love are emotions, it is possible to show love to someone for whom you feel no emotion whatsoever, or even someone for whom you feel negative emotion. Love requires us to perform loving actions because of God’s command to do so.

We must continually preach repentance, hear about repentance and actually repent because that it is so easy for us to allow our sins to beset us, so easy for us to become defensive about the evil that we may do, and so easy to decide us to call wrong right.

If anyone in your life is more emotionally important to you than your spouse, the two of you are not "one". Two people can marry, share a domicile and even share a bed, but if someone is emotionally closer to one of them than their spouse, it is intuitively obvious that the two cannot be “one”.

There is no demographic characteristic, be it race, ethnic background, or national origin, that can separate a believer from God.

After the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sin and atonement with God is no longer dependent on a Jewish animal sacrifice as it was in our earlier readings in the Old Testament. The entire Old Testament system of animal sacrifices for sin has been replaced by the human sacrifice of Jesus Christ; a sacrifice not to be offered repeatedly because of a period of uncleanness after a discharge of blood, but having been offered on Calvary’s Cross once for all.

The combination of the strength and the understanding of an honorable man and the gentle and quiet spirit of a beautiful, chaste woman make for a combination that the Lord loves and blesses in family situations. And men that know how to treat women want strong, understanding husbands for their daughters.
