Neither education, nor riches, nor fame will equip us for heaven, but we will only be equipped for heaven if we have the ability to act lovingly, especially in our primary human relationship, which is, marriage.

The only competent advice that I can give anyone about life is based upon my experience with and understanding of the content of the Scripture. I know that the teaching of the Scripture is relevant to every situation, and if I can constrain myself to only give advice based upon the teaching of the Scripture, I will be doing the service to which God has called me.
Every time we decide to “do our own thing” rather than following God’s instructions, we ultimately learn, by our own experience, that God’s instructions are correct and our “thing” is wrong.

The intellectual fallacy that the parental input of men is not needed can be traced to the fact that children need an intuitive parental interaction during their infant and toddler years. Before children have the intellectual capacity for structured verbal communication, their majority of the interaction that they have require an intuitive focus by their caregiver. Women, created by God to mother children, are uniquely gifted by God to perform this intuitive task.

The Lord Jesus Christ went through the most painful of circumstances on His way to Joseph’s new tomb. The Lord Jesus Christ did so in order to provide us with salvation, to pay the penalty that we owe for the sins that we have committed. And when Paul says that he knows how to be abased and how to abound, Paul is simply recognizing that in his ministry, his will have to endure some painful situations as well as some pleasant situations as he spreads the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world.
We ought not worry about the way that our obedience to God makes us look to others, nor ought we feel embarrassed when exercising our with faith in God, because our obedience, not our pride, matters to God.

The unsaved are lost, not because of their sin, as we are all sinners, lost or saved, but because of their arrogance, in that they refuse to recognize that they are not good enough to merit God’s Kingdom. Heaven is not a place for good people, but only for the humble people, because only the humble can be saved.
