The relationship between men and women is a microcosm of the relationship between man and God. It is impossible to be both promiscuous and Godly, because God does not endorse the promiscuity of either men or women.

Our only claim to Christianity and to eternal life is that we are covered, not by our righteousness or our good works, but by the Blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the Cross of Calvary that our sins might be forgiven.

Following our own plan, as the idolaters did, will lead us into sin and death, but following the plan of God will lead us into eternal life, eternal maturity and eternal leadership.

Submission and love is the crux of Christianity, and only as we show that love to one another in our most intimate relationships can others see our Christian testimony. If we show our Christian “love” only to those with whom our relationship is peripheral, we have not really passed the test, because the real test is our ability to sacrifice ourselves for one another, as Jesus sacrificed Himself for us.

There is a Divine inheritance for each one that resolves to do as Jesus says and follow the commandment of God, which is how we worship and glorify God. Those in the world that do not know the Lord will offer us alternatives based upon their own imaginations and the prompting of the devil, but our allegiance to God is shown through our decision to follow the commandments of God.

God does not give us His Divinely inspired Word to condemn others, but to show them the error of their ways so that they might be saved. But we forget and allow our arrogance to lead us away from Christ and from personal purity into the judgment of others because it is far easier and more satisfying to point out the sins of others than to look at our own.

The simple reason that we should devote ourselves to living by Christian principles is that the end time is coming, and we don’t want to be caught off guard. Sin of every form distracts us from being watchful, and dealing with the negative consequences of sin will have us looking the other way as the Day of the Lord comes upon us. Jesus is telling us that it is wise of us to be obedient to the Bible, which is the doctrine of Jesus Christ, in an informed, insightful and intelligent manner, so that we do not miss the signs that the end of time is coming.

You cannot bring abominations to God and expect Him to accept you because you don’t want to be embarrassed in front of your peers. Jesus Christ died in front of His disciples and His enemies; He gave His life rather than knuckle under to the peer pressure, and we have to have the same mindset if we want to stay at His wedding.
