We mature Christians are called to restore other Christians that fall into temptation and then sin. But in order to really understand how sin is restored spiritually, the Master, the Lord Jesus Christ, gives us an object lesson that cannot be surpassed.

We don’t have to perform any ritual to make up for that which we have done, because the Blood of Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for all that we have done. All we have to do is to repent and return to loving God and our neighbor.

Carnal thinking discounts any spiritual dimension. Carnal thinking is focused on earthly realities, rather than heavenly ones. A person that thinks carnally makes decisions as though life on earth is the only reality, and disregards the reality of death that moves us from life on earth to everlasting life with God. Carnal people function as though they were going to live on the earth forever.
