It is incumbent upon every good father to make sure that his sons and daughters are exposed to the wisdom in the Word of God, without which, the children are destined to go down the primrose path to destruction. Yes, it is possible for the children to avoid the trials and tribulations of this life without the guidance of their father, but it is unlikely that they will do so.

Many people confess Christianity but are not committed to it because they are not really convinced that they need salvation. They may know that Romans 3:23 says that all are sinners, but they hold the preconceived misconception that God would not send everyone to hell and since they are as good as anyone else, God won’t send them to hell either.

The commitment for which Jesus calls is one of a living sacrifice. Jesus calls men to give their all to the task at hand, even unto death.
